By the end of the course, the student must be able to:

• Contextualise macroeconomic events and outcomes
• Assess / Evaluate effects of different economic policies
• Interpret effects of monetary policy decisions on interest rates and the macroeconomy
• Synthesize determinants of exchange rates and their effects
• Discuss drivers of economic growth
