Summary
Two-day Summer School , location TBD with JDPLS thesis directors and students. Students presente their recent research and take part in small-group discussions. Two keynote speakers will give presentations and join discussions with students.
Content
All of the current PhD students in the JDPLS program should attend as well as most of the current thesis directors. Each of the students should prepare a 30-minute presentation of their current research before the Summer school, and then give a presentation to the full group of students and thesis directors. Following each presentation, there will be a question session with feedback. On each day there will be breakout discussions where students can continue discussing their work.
Learning Outcomes
By the end of the course, the student must be able to:
- Present their current research to an audience of peers and senior scholars and respond to questions and feedback
