Summary
Students apply the knowledge and skills acquired throughout the programme to a project in the public or private sector, an NGO, or an ENAC-affiliated MUS laboratory. Aligned with their specialization, it focuses on designing and analysing planning solutions.
Content
- Define a specific problem related to the chosen area of specialization and work on a proposed solution with an ENAC laboratory affiliated with the MUS, or in collaboration with a public or private organization, or an NGO
- Collect and analyse relevant data and references
- Develop and critically evaluate potential solutions
- Apply appropriate methods and tools (e.g. analyses, testing, software, or prototypes) to develop and optimize the project
- Prepare a written report and present the project

Learning Outcomes
By the end of the course, the student must be able to:
- Formulate and solve problems related to urban systems
- Identify systems or processes that meet specified needs while taking relevant constraints into account
- Assess / Evaluate and select the most appropriate solution based on technical and other project constraints

- Set objectives and design an action plan to reach those objectives.
- Take account of the social and human dimensions of the engineering profession.
- Take responsibility for environmental impacts of her/ his actions and decisions.
- Manage priorities.
- Access and evaluate appropriate sources of information.
Teaching methods
The project is completed individually under the supervision of an MUS professor or lecturer. It may be co-supervised by an external partner or carried out within an ENAC laboratory. The teaching approach varies depending on the nature of the project and the student's integration within the host organization or laboratory. Supervisors guide the project from the initial proposal to the final deliverable, while students are responsible for coordinating the project with external partners.
