Individual research during the semester under the guidance of a professor or an assistant.

or in other EPFL labs (upon approval of the DH Section)
Learning Outcomes
By the end of the course, the student must be able to:
- Organize a project
- Assess / Evaluate one's progress through the course of the project
- Present a project
Transversal skills
- Write a scientific or technical report.
- Write a literature review which assesses the state of the art.
Expected student activities
Written report due within the allocated time
Information on the format and the content of the report is provided by the project supervisor.
Assessment methods
Fall semester: The written report must be returned to the laboratory no later than the Friday of the second week after the end of the classes.
Spring semester : The written report must be returned to the laboratory no later than the Friday of the first week after the end of the classes.
The oral presentation is organized by the laboratory.
