- How to structure a scientific article
- How to make your article readable and credible
- How to make a good poster
- Giving scientific presentations (conference or seminars)
- Each participant will write a title, abstract, introduction which will be commented on by participants and trainer, either in small groups or in class. The emphasis is on structure and readability.
- The discussion section will be dealt with by commenting on a published one. The trainer will edit the discussions of the students who have already written one.
- On either day 5 or day 6, each student will have individual coaching of 30 minutes on some writing of their own choice.

IMPORTANT: This course will only take place if it can be filled (min. 9 participants).

A registration fee of CHF 325.00 per participant is to be covered by the PhD Student's host laboratory. Payment details will be emailed to you along with the confirmation of your pre-registration. The final confirmation of your registration will be sent against proof of payment.
This course is for PhD students who are already in the process of writing and not for those in their 1st year.
Students who cannot attend all the sessions should enroll next year.

Registration Requirements:
- be able to attend all dates (students who cannot attend all the sessions should enroll during a following session)
- be at least already in your 2nd year
- be already in the process of writing articles and have an abstract and a title to bring with you on the second course day. Participants will be given a pre-course assignment about 10 days before the beginning of the course.
