Summary

The course concludes the development of the prototype of a connected device. It develops competences related to prototype development, project management, teamwork and intercultural management.

Content

The course is composed of two parts:

1) Summer (Greater China)

- Study of the Hong-Kong/Shenzhen eco-system and production networks

- Protoyping/small batch manufacturing in Shenzhen and interaction with Chinese designers and makers

2) Autumn (EPFL)

- Further iteration of the connected device

- Analysis regarding the process and result of the development

The format is project-based.
